Dutch traditions & a Courthouse “I Do” elopement…

Denny and Sabine had the sweetest Wednesday morning elopement. Sabine, a wedding planner herself, chose to keep things intimate. Sabine’s family came all the way from the Netherlands and shared the sweetest Dutch traditions. I was so honored to be chosen, not just to work alongside her, but to photograph her special day this time.

The morning began at their home in downtown Marion, IL while she and her boys got ready, Denny picked them up in a beautiful 1934 Packard. Talk about a gorgeous first impression to the day! (you can rent this same car or others from Chip Wynn Motors in nearby Paducah, KY). After a tearful first look the couple started with a quiet ceremony at the courthouse, then wandering the beautiful grounds of Walker’s Bluff. After a few photos on the grounds they hosted a beautiful lunch at the Walkers Bluff Casino. They ended the morning perfectly, celebrating with their stunning horse by their side.
