Randy & Keisha’s Wind-Swept Wedding on the Ohio River
Randy and Keisha said “I do” on the banks of the Ohio River this past weekend, and it was one of the windiest wedding days I’ve ever photographed. Instead of letting the weather slow them down, they embraced the moment. We spent time shooting below the cliffs at Cave In Rock, where the stone walls offered just enough shelter for intimate portraits. Then we made our way to the top of the cliffs at their private Airbnb, overlooking the river with their closest family and friends gathered around.
As the ceremony began, the song “It Is Well” (by Bethel Music) played softly through the wind. Guests stood in awe, listening to the waves and the roar of the wind, nature itself joining in. In one of the most powerful moments of the day, the lyrics “the waves and wind still know His name” echoed over the river, perfectly fitting the scene unfolding before us.
It was a stunning and emotional celebration while still raw, real, and full of meaning. A perfect reminder that sometimes the most unforgettable wedding days are the ones shaped by nature itself.
